It's Early

Good Morning all,
My male cats, Homer and Howard, woke me up early, again, this morning. Homer was hungry, so I fed him and went back to bed. But no way was Howard gonna let me sleep in. He will jump from one night stand to me to the other night stand. I think I get the brunt of those jumps. I finally gave in and got up. He just wanted to go outside, so out he went. Now, I'm drinking coffee trying to wake up.
I must finish the cards I want to take to the VA today. I should go see my Dad, but we'll see how the time plays out.
This afternoon I have to go to the place I got hired on as Seasonal, for about 15 minutes!

Valentine's Card, OWH Bloghop-November 2010

Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm fairly new to making cards, about a year now. And very new to blogging. But I am very excited about both. You'll find more information on an AWESOME group I'm making cards for. It's called Operation Write Home, OWH for short.  They collect mine and many, many other talented card maker's cards and send those to our troops for their personal use to send home. It's give's me a warm and fuzzy feeling thinking I might have made someone smile with one of my cards. :) Below is my Valentine's Card I made for the OWH Bloghop. The heart pattern is in the CardMaker Magazine, March 2010 issue. I have been very busy making more Valentine's cards since this one. Two new challenges

Hi everyone, Sorry I have been MIA lately. Some of you may know this, others not. My Dad was in the late stages of cancer and I have been spending as much time as I could with him. So no card making or blogging. Sadly he lost his battle last Thursday.  He will be missed terribly by many people. Yesterday I squeezed in some time to make two cards. The first is for Hambo . I didn't play last week so I didn't get that awesome caterpillar image so I'm using another of their's. Still awesome. The challenge is to use Bright Green and Pink. I think those are cool color combination, so I had a lot of fun with this challenge. The second is for D2D progressive challenge, Spotty Dotty Watering can. I love this image. I think I'm drawn to flowers, I just love coloring and creating with them. The sentiment is also a D2D one. If you haven't ever played in one of D2D challenges, I say go for it, NOW!
