Hello again...

 Okay, well it's been a hot minute since I last posted. As in 5 years. What???? Wow, even I am stunned by that.

I'm gonna change up the blog a bit and not make it just about my cards, though they are still a big outlet for my crafting. But I'm going to add different things I'm doing or trying to do as it may be.  First I have to reacquaint myself how to blog! Pointers welcomed.

Recently I have been swapping in different FB groups, pocket letters, ATCs, dexcards, tags, etc. As you can see paper crafts. 

I'm now working at an Animal Hospital as a receptionist and let me just say one word "stressful". I do LOVE all the animals. It is so fun to see the variety that comes in and of course I love to cuddle the new puppies and kittens if I have time to. But it is a very very busy place...did I say very, let me say it again very Busy! It is a totally new thing for me and I find I know notta about vet medicine. I've been there 3 months now, so I got the basics down. But wow so much to learn about the ins and outs of vet medicine and what we do and can't do. I come home every day saying that's it, I'm finding another job. Then the next morning I'm back at it. I don't like change, I do like the animals and co-workers. So, for now, here I am.

Okay that updates you a bit. I was going to include a few cards I've made lately but I have to figure out how to get them off my phone and on to my laptop to share.

Valentine's Card, OWH Bloghop-November 2010

Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm fairly new to making cards, about a year now. And very new to blogging. But I am very excited about both. You'll find more information on an AWESOME group I'm making cards for. It's called Operation Write Home, OWH for short.  They collect mine and many, many other talented card maker's cards and send those to our troops for their personal use to send home. It's give's me a warm and fuzzy feeling thinking I might have made someone smile with one of my cards. :) Below is my Valentine's Card I made for the OWH Bloghop. The heart pattern is in the CardMaker Magazine, March 2010 issue. I have been very busy making more Valentine's cards since this one. I see pink and red hearts in my sleep. ha ha Archway Cookies has pledged to match OWH Valentine cards collected by December 1st.  So now would be a great time to join our OWH family. Two new challenges

Hi everyone, Sorry I have been MIA lately. Some of you may know this, others not. My Dad was in the late stages of cancer and I have been spending as much time as I could with him. So no card making or blogging. Sadly he lost his battle last Thursday.  He will be missed terribly by many people. Yesterday I squeezed in some time to make two cards. The first is for Hambo . I didn't play last week so I didn't get that awesome caterpillar image so I'm using another of their's. Still awesome. The challenge is to use Bright Green and Pink. I think those are cool color combination, so I had a lot of fun with this challenge. The second is for D2D progressive challenge, Spotty Dotty Watering can. I love this image. I think I'm drawn to flowers, I just love coloring and creating with them. The sentiment is also a D2D one. If you haven't ever played in one of D2D challenges, I say go for it, NOW!
