New sketches at OWH

I saw posted on OWH there are two sketches this week. Apparently we somehow missed one. More fun today, is what I say! :)

The first card is from sketch 34, sentiment from Ginger's house, here. You really should look at her blog. She has some very funny post and great sentiments. The image is from here. Another great blog to check out, if you haven't already. That girl works her little fingers off finding freebies!

Hope you enjoy both as much as I did making them.  Now on to some cards I'm making for a swap. Then I have about 16 images colored and ready to be put together. Gonna keep me busy for a little while.

    Shirley, I love the little girl with the 'googly'eyes and the flower is the perfect embellishment ! The firends in the rain is adorable. I want to learn how to color images with markers... but all I have are Stampin Up markers and they just don't blend very well. I would love to know what markers you use and what colors would be good to strt my'collection'

Valentine's Card, OWH Bloghop-November 2010

Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm fairly new to making cards, about a year now. And very new to blogging. But I am very excited about both. You'll find more information on an AWESOME group I'm making cards for. It's called Operation Write Home, OWH for short.  They collect mine and many, many other talented card maker's cards and send those to our troops for their personal use to send home. It's give's me a warm and fuzzy feeling thinking I might have made someone smile with one of my cards. :) Below is my Valentine's Card I made for the OWH Bloghop. The heart pattern is in the CardMaker Magazine, March 2010 issue. I have been very busy making more Valentine's cards since this one. I see pink and red hearts in my sleep. ha ha Archway Cookies has pledged to match OWH Valentine cards collected by December 1st.  So now would be a great time to join our OWH family. Moving

I am in the process of moving my craft room from a tiny back bedroom . That room faces the NW, windows on both sides, 3 doors and a closet. Oh and there is the utility closet also. So you can imagine hardly any wall space. Since sit just me and Lucy, the cat, I have no problem with my craft room moving to the front/living room . I don't have many visitors so that won't be an issue either. Recently I was blessed with a wonderful gift of a lot of stamps, inks, and paper. I'll be posting more paper crafts but may not be able to tell who the company is for some projects . So I'm off here and back to the moving.
